I was able to get the cap off, thank you RedHog. Now, the problem is with the "BOTTOM RACE." Is this something I can get off with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver or will I have to take it somewhere that can professionally do it? Thanks for the help!
Just did the neck bearings on my 94' Fatty. My service manual instructed me to cut the cage with a chisel remove rollers and cage. It then said to heat the race with a torch till it "falls off". I heated mine up a little and tapped it upside down on the floor and came off. Mike

Thanks, Then I guessing there is no sense in thinking I could take them off and put them on my new trees unless I took them somewhere that had the equipment, but then this would probably cost more than buying new. The bike only has 1100 miles on it but I believe I'll just get new bearings and be done with it!
Service manual says to tighten them till there is no "shake", looseness. Final adjustment on my bike is "fall away" check. For my bike it is 1-2 inches the forks should "fall" to there stop on there own. You center up the forks and just tap them till the fall, shouldn't be over 1-2 inches or there to tight. Opposite would be true if their to loose. Mike
