Congrats on the new ride. I would like to know how you like the heritage compared to the glide??? I have a heritage and rented a street glide for a day in Vegas. But it was not apples to apples as the roads out there were smooth as glass and I only rode the glide 160 miles... any how good luck with your new bike...swifty
Swifty.
I only have about 50 miles on it.
I call it my Old Man bike, I'm 64.
I like that it is lighter and ya don't have that Hvy frontend.
And too me it's more comfortable, Even the stock bars feel good.
And I like the classic look, I got the Black Quartz....
I'm still adapting to a hard-mount. My FatBob is much smoother and you don't feel every firing of the cylinders, like the Heritage. Still, the bike feels good to ride, just a lot more engine noise (Sounds like washing machine) and feels like gravel in the engine. Wondering if some rubber shims between the mount bolts and frame might smooth it out a little.
I did the same thing in October '16. I traded in my Street Glide Special for a 2017 Heritage. I love it. I never used the SGS radio or gps anyway. I like the ride better and so does my wife. My wife always had to stop once an hour on the SGS to stretch, can go much longer on the Heritage. Beautiful bike too! I'm 72. Hope I'm still riding it when I get old. Congratulations!
