Cam choice
What's up all, wondering what would be a better choice for my stock 0.030 head gasket 103 build. Already have SE204 cams but was wondering with my current gearing of 30/70 sprockets and a FXSTC being light would a SE 211 with a 4 degree advance sprocket be a better choice? Also have the SE 1.725 rockers.
From what I understand, having read some info in the engine and mechanical section, a 103 with the .030 head gasket would push the CCP a little high and if the tune isn't near perfect, prone to detonation.
I'd stick with the stock HG and put the 204's in with the SE rockers since you already have the cams.

My stock block 103, zero decked, .030" head gasket, mild headwork, 70cc chambers, bored throttlebody, T-man 577 cams and good tune runs like a raped ape. Same gearing. There are many better cams out there than MOCO...JMHO. The Andrews 57H does very well in a 103 with .030 gasket.
