Exploring my options.

I want to find a single seat for my 94 Softail project. I have a Swing arm mounted fender as seen in the photo. I have the solo seat but am wondering how comfortable it would be on long rides and am not overly happy with how it would look mounted. I'm somewhat short, so I would like a seat that sits similar to the red outline. I saw a HD the other day with a setup similar to what i was thinking. It had a metal bracket that bolted to the frame and ran just behind and supported the seat, it was a bulkhead of sorts (for lack of a better description). I have found several single seats, but they all shoot up in the back to follow the fender that would normally be there. Looking for something that looks more streamlined and natural.

The only other option i can think of is to fab something.

 

Look up a custom m\c upholstery shop in your area. See if they will fab up something for you. Cool project btw!
