Default Hello

First of all, i want to apologize for my poor english, it's not my native language, so please be gentil..
So, after many years of testing and trying various bikes, last month, i finnaly bought my dream bike...HD Heritage Softail 1450 cc, carburetor, S&S, year of birth 2000. I was so happy untill 2 days ago, during a short ride, the bike suddenly run out of power during riding, after aprox. 50 km with no problems at all. Practically, the electrical current was shut down and after 10 seconds the engine stoped. I manage to stop the bike safe but still no power. After 2-3 minutes, the electrical current came back and i managed to start the engine...after 500 m ..the same problem..and so on untill i finally arrived at the garage. I checked the battery conections, starter conections, fuse and avery possible conection on the bike, cleaned them...but the problem remains the same. The problem appears only after running for a while (about 40-50 km) like something is overheating and that's causing the electrical current to shut down. The bike came with Dynatek Perfomance Ignition TC 88 on it.
So, please help me...what should i do?
Respectful yours
Leo

My first guess is the ignition is overheating.

I don't have one, so I can't help you with settings, but from what I have seen in here is that after some time the heat resistance of the ignitions will break down and they will begin to fail intermittently due to the heat. I'm not saying this is your problem, just something to investigate.

I believe you need a new battery. Take it out and have it load tested. My 96 Heritage did the same to me and that was the solution, new battery. Your English is just fine.

I checked the battery...it's new, the electric charge system runs just fine. Did you had the same symptoms?

Agree, nothing wrong with your English.

Now this cat....

"One thing to. Ote is V&H has really deep pockets and loves research and development
plus thy track test S well as dyno. Superb company"

....is another story. And English is his FIRST language. I am sorry, but I couldn't resist.

Yes I did. And even thou it's a new battery I would take it and get it load tested. Check all your ground point connections also.
