Default First HD 99 softail or 02 rd king

hi please help me decide between two bikes 99 Heritage Softail 7000 miles New tires rebuilt car show room condition
Or 02 Rd King $1000 more than heritage twin cam 56000 miles dealer serviced new tires cam chain tensioner switched to hydraulic also mint condition other than miles
bike is for 2 up riding my wife and I my biggest concern is the mileage on the road king I cannot afford to buy a Low Mileage Rd., King both deals are a result of over eight months of searching on craigslist we cannot afford a Low Mileage Rd., King so the question is is a twin cam motor that much better that I should not be concerned about the mileage? For vibration from the 99 evo without counterbalance

Carbureted or fuel injected?

You can't go wrong with a carbureted Evo, especially a Heritage.

IMO the only draw back to the road king TC motor is watching the cam chain tension pads. If the seller doesn't have proof of a replacement I'd budget replacing them right away...I have a 99 evo softail an it's the best evo IMO...it's the last year of it an has the upgraded wiring from the 96 update. I did a cam swap on my fatboy an it's a huge improvement. I had a 05 Electra glide an I didn't like the size/weight of it. My GF actually liked riding on the back of the softail more than the E glide but we are both short, I'm 5'8 an she's 5'...if you're a bigger guy you might prefer the King.

Yea---what he said. I had a 90 with a mild cam---and if you can deal with the buzz in the bars and floor boards I would choose the EVO Heritage if they had the same miles. EVO is the better engine all around--JMHO of course.
