If you have low handlebars, everyone has been raving about the HD Windsplitter, but I dont think it’ll work with apes.

I have the Windsplitter with 16 inch apes but I had to roll them back. That vent does eliminate SOME of the buffeting coming up from underneath, but definitely not all of it like HD says. It's a good windshield but there are bigger ones out there if you're looking for serious protection.

I have the windsplitter on my FB16S and it does reduce wind quite a bit, but not as advertised. I actually like that it still allows the wind in your face feeling while keeping the bugs and helmet bob to a minimum. I can ride for several hours in the stock seat now compared to no windshield, my back would start to bother me after about a half hour. I don't have experience on any of the bigger full shields available. I did ride a few street guides while purchasing my fb and hated the fairings.

Never tried the windsplitter but I'm very happy with my Long Ride Shields recurve
