Hey folks...Finally rx'd my long awaited moustache engine guard today, and my son and I bolted it on this evening. Everything was pretty straight forward, except that the engine guard and the clip that holds the clutch cable (at the boot) didn't agree with each other. I finally removed the cable from the clip, ran the engine guard in behind the cable, and bolted it on. Now the cable is just hanging loose. I unscrewed the clip from the frame. I'll grab some black line ties tomorrow, and tie it off, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something, or is this just par for the course? Any other Fat Boy owners with the moustache guard have the same issue?
Just be carful a friend of mine has one and the pads kept comming loose.
Interesting.... I'd love to know what's under them, smooth chrome or ridges; (so the pads stick to it good)
I ask 'cuz I once thought about removing them 'cuz i don't really like the pads. I never use them for my feet, ........ that would put you in the same position as doing push ups. [] I have the highway pegs instead.

Smooth chrome is underneath. takes a while to clean off the glue but once you do you will never tell the pads were there.
smitbrad, I like the look of that one, I would also like to get some feedback from someone who has one.
Looks like the same ones I have. I like the looks a lot. The only problem is with the stock seat it is hard to reach the foot pegs. I can post better pics if you can't see it on my sig pic well enough.
