thanks! if you can believe it, I have saved pics of your bike on my computer. I really like how those gangsters look on it... how comfortable is that air-ride? I love the slammed look, but appreciate comfort on longer rides.

just sold my American ironhorse, and that wasn't much fun to sit on for longer than an hour...

Thanks man! The bars are actually the Menace Apes... and air-ride is the way to go, if you want to lower the rear and still get the best ride possible. I love my Legend system, the ride is great and I've have zero problems with it in the 3 yrs I've had it. I put progressive 422 adjustable shocks on my Rocker and lowered the rear 1.5", it rides ok, and way better then it did with the stock shocks and lowering collars I had on it for a short time, but no where near the ride I get on the BO with the Legend air, ...I love the slammed look too, having the option of looks or comfort is the best of both worlds....I also installed a Progressive fork spring kit, and that greatly improved the handling over stock, they do a good job smoothing out pot holes and bumps, and really help reduce the Breakouts nose dive/peg scraping problems.

I went a slightly different route, using Ricor Intiminators and RaceTech constant rate springs. Either way, (or a new way), addressing the BO's notoriously sloppy front end is money well spent. "Don't just switch to a heavier weight fork oil", that just trades off ride quality for stability, you can't have it both ways in a fixed aperture (stock) damping system. Installing a variable aperture valved system of some sort will improve bump absorption / comfort and considerably reduce the BO's classic nose dive, improving handling and clearance. This mod can't be stressed enough IMHO. You'll be impressed.
