duece frame is different where the back fendermounts, the struts behind the fender are different, also the 99 and earlier have some minor differences than the 2000 and up frames. Lots of parts will interchange on softails but there are a few small differences depending on year etc.

I guess my answer was sorta short! What are you trying to determine? Are you wondering if your parts will fit on a certain frame or something? Yes, they are the same, as far as how they function, but other than that, can vary greatly.
