Default Oil drain plug??

Does my 92 EVO Fatboy have anoil drain plug in the bottom of the engine crankcase? Or do I just drain the oil tank and change the filter? I have been doing it that way for a while but never seem to get 3 quarts out. Is that normal? I looked for something that looked like a drain plug but never saw anything that looked like one.

Just drain the tank and replace the filter, start the engine and let it idle a couple minutes, check the oil and add as needed. The normal refill is about 3 - 3 1/2 qts. The book capacity is for a new bike that has never had oil in it. The difference is because of oil filling all the oil lines etc.

Thanks oldtimer, I have never been able to get a full 3 quarts in on an oil change. I guess it's OK.

If you want to get all of the oil out, go to www.roguechopper.com and check out their scavenger system. Have one for my softail and I get almost a quart out of old oil out of the engine.
