Default Bus Error

My 2008 Heritage Softail will start up then shortly shut down with the screen showing "bus err". I've brought this into the Palm Springs Harley shop four times now with the diagnosis coming back twice as " battery fob needed new battery", "low charge on battery". They installed a new battery last week and the bike is still doing the same as before. I can get it to start again by unplugging then replugging the main fuse but this is only temperary, the problem continues the next day. Any help with finding the solution to this problem is appreciated.

Heck, in my day "bus error" meant you boarded the wrong bus.

It would be a long shot if GHerpin responds. His last activity in this forum was two years ago on 11 January 2018.

It may be a long shot but is worth the try, I have a similar situation with the "BUSErr" but I cannot get it to clear so I cannot start my 2016 Softail Slim S. I've searched 100's of forum threads and have not found a solution, removing the Maxi fuse didnt clear the condition.

Instead of waiting for something that won't happen, why don't you start a new thread regarding your problem in the Electrical Subforum ? They have members there that can help you the most.

Click on my link to get to the Electrical Subforum. Then, click on the orange " + New Thread" button towards the top left of the page. I hope you get things figured out.
