I searched but couldn't find anything specific to the Fatboy. I have an 2008 with the polished aluminum wheels. I have located some chrome wheels off a 2012 Fatboy. I am trying to figure out if they are interchangeable. The 2012 has ABS so I'm not sure if that matters on the wheels. Any help would be appreciated.
Both set of wheels have 25mm bearings. The ABS bearing is wider but the recess in the wheel is deeper. If the 2012 wheel come with bearings and inner spacer it should be an easy trade.
Measure the over all width of the wheels (outside bearing to outside bearing). That will tell if you need different outer spacers. It will be great if the wheels come complete.
I bought a set of CVO Deluxe wheels off eBay. They came with the ABS bearings removed, but the inner spacers and regular bearing were included. I asked the seller why were the ABS bearings removed. He said his wheel swap was done at a local shop, so he didn't know. Bearings should not be reused after they have been knocked /pulled out. Spacers and bearing are easily found on eBay and other sites at a much better than dealer prices.
