Daymaker is Harley's LED headlight and I have never heard one instance where a factory headlight turned on the idiot light. Hear about aftermarket ones turning it on all the time though.

Yes. It has the standard 3-pin connector. On new Harleys, like my 17 SGS, Harley went to a dual bulb 7" OEM light, so those (8790) require an adapter that can be found almost anywhere.
my buddy installed a daymaker and occasionally it turns on his idiot light on the dash.
Most likely he bought one of the cheap Chinese lights that use the "Daymaker" name to confuse people. I never had any problems with any of the LED lights Speaker made {(They make Harley's real "Daymaker").
Yep that’s the one. Really bright in the daytime and lights up the road at night. Very happy with it, had it for almost a year now and no plans on changing it
