Default Coming back

First post - great forum and source of info.

After 2 Road Kings and an Ultra and selling my last ride (a weak moment) I'm currently "bikeless" for the first time in about 30 years. I'm considering a Deluxe - love the looks, the low seat height (I'm 6'2", 325 - but God saw fit to exclude me from the legs department). My primary complaint with the RK's - had to put risers on the bars to get comfortable - the Ultra fit but don't want all of the tupperware this time around. I will test ride anything before making a purchase - which will probably be after the 08's come out. Any of you folks have any comments on the transition between RK's and the Deluxe?

Thanks

Default RE: Coming back

I love my 07' deluxe. the retro look of the bike is what caught my eye...not to mention all that chrome. it rides sooooo smoothly compared to my old shovel. however, being tall, you may want to think about a custom seat and maybe different bars. with a decent engine guard and highway pegs you will still be able to stretch out in comfort, I think. Good luck on whatever you decide....and welcome to the forum!
