Got my first Harley in 2013: 1200 Custom 110th Anniversary Edition. Beautiful bike but I was too cramped on it and kept on scraping the pegs. I sold it less than three years later with 1200 miles on it.
I had always wanted to get another Harley and toyed with getting a Softail Slim last year, for a while. Even test rode one, but it didn't do it for me.
Then a couple of weeks ago I stopped by my local HD dealer to talk to my sales guy and look at some bikes. That's when I saw a 2018 Fat Bob for the first time. I was mesmerized and asked him what it was. after a short inspection and heavy drooling I scheduled a test ride for the following week.
The test ride was only 6 miles, after which I ordered one in Grey. They didn't have it in stock so it took them a week to get one for me from another dealer. During this time I ordered S&S Grnd National Slip-Ons, Screamin' Eagle Extreme Flow Air Cleaner, V&H FP3 Tuner and mirror extensions (during the test ride I could see nothing but my elbows):
Yep, purchased mine in February and already have over 3,500 miles on it. Always looking for excuses to take long rides to nowhere. Work and other responsibilities have really been getting in the way of my nowhere goals.
