I just found out about this, and seems like a good idea.
Kickstand Kaddy.com
Contacted him by phone, and he makes them for Softail as well as touring models.
Anybody using one? What are your thoughts.
Thanks
I've never heard of a jiffy stand spring failing on any bike.
I supposed it could happen but so could a 1000 other things.
I've knocked them off/bent doing cone course work; I keep a spare spring with the cones and tape measure. Easy to change on a Touring model, just put the bike on the right side engine/bag guards and swap it out. Not as easy on the Dyna Defenders, you have to put washers in the spring to make it longer for install.

no washers needed, just loosen/pull the pivot bolt, remove/lift up locking plate, swing it forward, attach spring put bolt in loose, swing it back too get locking plate in position.
tighten nut

You're mistaken, on a Dyna you need washers. There isn't a pivot bolt, just a bolt that threads into the jiffy stand itself to keep it in the pivot block under the frame. It doesn't go forward like a Touring model. I've changed way too many of them out in the hot sun. I may have forgotten some things in my old age but this ain't one of them
