Default wind solutions Heritage 114

I'm 6 foot tall and wind was just coming to my forehead when riding. I called Freedom, they had stock size 17" and 19" which I didn't want for fear of having to look over a shield. BUT the guy said the contoured lip gives me 2-3" more relief from air and the 17" may give me the relief. besides, the shield is wrapped and I can test as long as I want if I don't remove it. . SOOOOO.....I send $190 or so to him for the shield only, it uses the harley frame. well, the guy was correct, the wind is hitting just over my head now. other thing...........No harley fangs for new bikes, so I get softail fangs for 2017 models for $99. the lower holes need to be drilled to make it work on new bikes. I thought they were mismarked because of the way they looked so I installed them in the same orientation as the windshield.. ie:convex. they look pretty good and did a fair job with updraft wind. but yesterday I decided to reverse them and install like the label said. WOW, what a difference! sometimes letting function win over form is difficult, but I will now leave it alone. I think I could ride this thing across country now.

I have the fangs and a 15 1/2 inch long ride shields recurve on my Fatboy. Does the job great.
