Tuners tied to Rider instead of Bike

Yeah, would be nice but won't happen. Most, if not all, tuner companies allow you to buy an additional license so you can use the same tuner on a different ECM. The new license costs less than a new tuner.
Example: New Dynojet Power Vision License

If you buy a PowerVision, you can add as many extra bikes as you want for $199 each. That's about what the MoCo used to charge for their one-time downloads.
I have a PowerVision with my two current EFI bikes, my former EFI bike, and three friend's EFI bikes on it.... Unless it just takes a dive, I'll never need another tuner.

Yes and no... I recently bought another HD, an '01 with carb. It was a trip down memory lane rebuilding and tuning that carb... That bike runs excellent!
But it still doesn't start, run, or respond to mods, as well as my EFI bikes...when they are properly tuned...

I advise you don't run it on a bike longer than needed. Certainly don't use it as an instrument panel. Dial your tune and pull it off. Mine developed a crack in the back of the case and they didn't warranty it and it ain't that old. Still works but that does really **** me off.
