Default SE Pipes?

Can you tell me about your experience with SE slip ons? The cost, the sound, did the dealer have them in stock? And did you upgrade anything else besides the pipes? Thanks.

I believe I have SEII's and I dont think they are available any longer.

FWIW, I love them! Not too loud, not to quiet...landed right in the middle....

I've got em in my garage. don't think they make em anymore. you wouldn't want mine, they're a bit scratched from putin it down on the freeway. I liked em but I liked the hooker troublemakers better. anyhow, good sound, not too loud at all, but definatley a harley sound. how old is your bike? FX?

I got the SE II the dealer had put them on the bike before I purchased (only sound I know). Since I have put on PCIII and NESS BIG SUCKER along with dyno tune. I echo what others have said. Good HD sound but not toloud (or to quiet) 2006 FLSTI Heritage.

I agree with the previous posts...nice sound, people can hear you, but it's not obnoxiously loud. I personally wouldn't mind a little more sound. I bought my bike used, but had the SEII's installed at the 1000 mile service. The dealer still had some in stock. I had the SE A/C and stage I download installed too. I can't recall definitely, but I'm thinking they cost $249.99 maybe?

I got a set off a mate that had them, unopened in the box, in his shed on the chance he may buy a 2nd harley some day.
They are now at home onmy 96 heritage, and they sound the ducks nuts!

My dealer had the SEII's in stock last summer. I bought them for around $250. Good sound, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for, so I drilled out the existing baffle holes a bit (went from 1/4" to 7/16" I believe). Performance and sound were both better. Definitely more Harley like. I have since put Thunder Monster baffles in the pipes. They are LOUD. I may go back to my modified stock baffles if the Monsters bother me much more. People do notice me now...
