I put the black line dash on just to see how it looked. It’s going to stay on but I’m stripping the bike to get a lot of parts powder coated. But my question is the denim black looks awesome in person but does the gloss black dash clash too much? The bars and riser are gloss and everything I’m powder coating is going to be gloss also.
I like it gloss black console, and the denim tins. I like the contrast especially once you put the new wheels on. I think it will look awesome once you get everything installed.
If if you don’t like it you can always paint the tins later. The one advantage with the black denim is you don’t have to worry about the swirls like the gloss paint. My .02 FWIW.
I had it in my head I was painting the tins gloss black before i picked the bike up, but when i pulled up and saw the bike in person, i knew it would be hard to ditch that denim black. I was going to flat black a lot of parts, but also decided to gloss them hoping it will pull the bike all together when done..
The gloss and flat is growing on me. I’ve got someone wanting to buy my spoke wheels guess I need to decide if I wanna sell them or not! Also just got my gloss black flush mount gas caps in my mail lady hid the box by my gate and didn’t see them till this am
I have denim tins on my Fatboy Lo using Dr Beasley's products for flat black paint and am happy with the products. Denim paint must be cleaned and protected carefully.
