Default M8 Engine Temps

I'm curious as to what engine temps you guys are seeing. I have a 2018 FatBob 114 with a Two Brothers exhaust. I've never been one to have a tuner hooked up to monitor telemetry but after getting my exhaust and PV (with tune from FuelMoto) I've been watching engine temps.
While on the freeway, I'm seeing temps in 270 degree range and jumping to 320+ when coming off the freeway. These temps seem high to me but I'm not sure if that's normal for M8 engine. Any thoughts?

I haven't broken 300 yet, but 280 is not uncommon. I heard the sensor location is closer to the exhaust port (why?) leading to higher numbers, and supposedly the motor does run cooler overall then the TC... But I have no fact to base that on.

I see a high of 302f sitting in rush hour city traffic and an average of 270-280 riding with my 107 stage 1 with Fuel Moto PV tune.

I just realized this is in regard to a softail...but temps should be similar to any oil-cooled M8.

I'm glad to see these temps seem to be normal operating temps. I wasn't 100% sure, as they seemed a little high to me. I appreciate everyone chiming in!
