i orderd a pair of samson true duel fishtails (42) three weeks ago and still havent gotten them - although they hit my card -- is this the average wait time ?whats going on over there??
1. What company did you order them from?
2. When you placed the order, how long were you told it would take to receive them?
3. When you called the company you ordered them from, what did they tell you?
i oderd them online right from the samson website. i got a comfirmation right away and asummed it would be 10 - 15 days. i e-mailed them and they replied the next day .saying there was a problem with the chromer . but i would think they would have some inventory . i was just wondering if others have experienced the same thing. i dont want to jump the gun and call my credit card company .

Assuming was your 1st mistake. Thinking Assuming they would have some inventory is your 2nd mistake.
Now, regarding Samson, they have had shipping issues in the past. People were waiting months for their pipes to arrive. They used the "problem with the chromer" excuse back then also. Then, they had shipping delays because they were moving to their current location in Sturgis. If my memory serves me correctly, I thought they were chroming in house to avoid the "chromer issue". Whether they are actually having chroming problems or it is just an excuse we don't know.
Pertinent to your order, Samson may not have every exhaust in stock. Personally, I would give them 6-8 weeks to ship. At that point, I would consider just waiting until they are available, cancelling the order or ordering different pipes that are available.
What year and model bike do you have and what Samson model did you order (post the SKU)? I can try and help locate them from a different vendor.
i'll never order from Samson again, i ordered a set of pipes, THEY shipped them to a wrong address, then when i tired to cancel the order and order from somewhere else, it took FOREVER to get my money back, after having to fight with them to even agree to refund me (they even had the ***** to TRY and charge me a restock fee!), all said and done, it was about a month from the day i paid till the day i was refunded...never again Samson!

I did a search for the Samson S-473 (42" Cholos that fit a '96 Softail).
I have three leads for you. The list is priced highest to lowest from top to bottom. Phat Performance is the only one that actually specifies they are in stock. I would call them and ask if they are actually in stock and how long it would take to ship. If you do order from one of them then you have to go through the trouble of cancelling the order from Samson and crediting your credit card. Good luck.
It's a pain, but they have your money...your pipes will come. Waiting is likely the quickest solution. Cancelling, getting refunded, and re-ordering elsewhere will undoubtably take longer at this point.
