can anyone tell me the difference in seat fixingsfor the softail range, i have a 2007 fxstc softail im about to do lots of touring and need a comfortable seat for the mrs????
I am in the same boat. Not much advise other than what I hear such as mustang seats etc.
I am in the process of getting my rear pad redone by an apholestry shop. From my reasearch it seems all the good touring seats have an 14"or better rear seat and a stock softail is 12.5. With that in mind I will get mine at least that wide and have extra cushion or maybe gel added in and recovered and see it that makes the mrs. happy. I let you know how it goes.
Do a search here on C&C Seats also... I got my Fat Boy a few weeks ago and started researching here, and they were highly recommended. I just ordered the Sport Touring and Solo seats today, and will be picking them up on Saturday. The Sport Touring got good ratings for 2-up riding.
I just did some searching, and can't find some of the threads that I found useful as the search engine won't take C&C, "C&C" or 'C&C' (results come up empty). I'll keep looking, but there is lots of previous discussion about comfortable seats here.
Tail11....... Does your mustang solo seat cover up the bolts that the original seat used in the back and now use side frame bolts?? Thinking of getting it myself. Thanks.
