Default Cleaning Plastic

Any best practices for cleaning up what appears to be sun-damaged plastic? As you can see on the indicators below looks a bit worse for wear. Bothers me incredibly.

Looking at your speedo lens, are you sure that isn't condensation and not "sun damaged" plastic ?

I use back to black (liquid in the red bottle). Makes it look near new and lasts a long while. Clean the plastic with 409 or something similar first..

Okee Dokee ...are you talking about the lenses or the black surface ... I agree that the lenses look to full of condensation?

Mine have started to get that way also and it's not condensation. I'm thinking sun damage.

Can not see year or model so rather difficult to isolate part for price or review for ease of access.
This is a parts finder.

To clean on the bike would not be recommended because a buffer wheel could slip and damage console.
Some plastics can be revived using a 2000 grit sand paper and then a buffing wheel with a compound but if part is inexpensive then a replacement might be a better idea.

Thanks all.
It’s a Softail Slim S, I might try some fine sandpaper and see how that comes up. Saves spending the big dollars on new indicator housing. Appreciate the advise all. Will let you know how it goes

Since year was never indicated and if year is a 2015, then per parts link provided earlier the part number might be 72658-12 at about $100 USA dollars.
Does not look difficult to remove from bike.
Working off the bike:
Maybe some 2000 grit sandpaper followed by a buffer wheel with compound and then some s100 total cycle restorer.

Really appreciate the help here. Yeah it is 2015 - I was led to believe the entire FLSS range was the one single series (ie. 2015 - 2017 are identical).
I'll try sandpaper first. If that fails the alternative isn't too expensive.

Dude, don't use sandpaper! I guarantee you'll ruin them. Spend a couple of bucks on the back to black first. Get it at the local auto parts store or order it from Amazon. It should do what your wanting..

See below..
