I want to swap out my footboards but can’t seem to find the correct kit.
HD had this kit

FL Softail Forward Control Kit

Part Number 33909-08A

some are telling that it fits but the website says it doesn’t. Has anyone used this kit and how is it for taller riders.

Put that kit on my 2013 Fatboy, but my bike is non ABS. The FatboyS has the ABS, so that may make a difference. Maybe someone here has installed that kit on an ABS equipped bike and tell you if it fits or not. I prefer the forward controls to the floorboards myself.

 

Bump in hopes that someone who can actually READ THE F******* TITLE of the thread will respond who has actually FOUND a way to fit the HD forward controls ON A FATBOY S WITH ABS. Is it really that difficult?

 

I installed this same exact kit on my 2017 Slim S. Yes it has ABS and should be the same frame as your Fatboy S. Contrary to what the HD website says it is a simple swap for the floorboards and you do not need to crack open the brake line at the master cylinder since our master cylinder bracket has a notch to lift it out.

I used my original kickstand. I later had the kickstand and the forward control shifter arm powdercoated as part of last year's winter project.
