Default Looking For Help Deciding

Hi

Tone here. I'm 5'6 12.5 stone and 28 inch inseam.Have ridden a 48 for past 3 years.
I am looking for a new softail and the choice is Slim or Deluxe.

So new 2018 Deluxe or 2019 new Slim both about the same change over and with factory warranty.

My big big problem is I have test ridden both at different dealers.

I like the Slim BUT find it's unstable, wobbly at stop. The Deluxe doesn't feel as top heavy ?

The Deluxe is a heavier bike and therefore parking will but a issue for me as I'm not a big guy or super strong.

I have seen many videos on both bikes, and seem to be the only one finding the Slim an issue with this uneasy wobbly feeling. Again in all the videos they just talk about high speed riding. Thats fine because I know the 107 has power. My concern is day to day stop start traffic.

So I was hoping that owners or experienced HD guys might help me with this dilemma.

Thanks in advance

Can't help, but for others, here's a stones to pounds converter: https://www.metric-conversions.org/w...-to-pounds.htm

You have ridden two different Slims and both were uncomfortable? Should be an easy call.

Why are you shying away from the Deluxe? Is it because you like the looks of the Slim better? You'll get used to stop start, get the Slim and feel good.

I'm surprised you find the Slim more top heavy than a Deluxe. I can't say I've ridden both but just looking at how they are built I'd feel the Slim would have a lower center of gravity.

Yeah more worried about the weight coming from a 48. I guess. The deluxe looks better but it's to me a big bike and since 90% of my time is around town in traffic I think slow manouvring, parking etc might be testing. But a little voice is saying that if the deluxe can be got from a good price then it's tempting.

I have a 2015 Slim and it seems like a very stable bike for me, especially at slow speeds. Do you put both feet down at a light, or just one?
