Hello......Well I just received my Vance and Hines true duals and kn ac.....now my questions is...I was looking at the fuel pack but have been reading alot both negative and positive on this unit.........Im going to do the install myself....thats why i was looking at the fuel pak..seems like a no brainer.....I have seen more positive on it then negative if you have version 12 for the 07......any help will be appreciated for my decision.....
How do you turn that darn heater off.....I did not ask for that option on the 07
Have the same set-up and here's what I would do differently.
Order the V&H Quiet Baffles and wait for them to arrive before starting the install. Then do your install and program the Fuelpak for the True Duals with Quiet Baffles. I don't have the Quiet Baffles yet and I get a lot of decel popping/gurgling.
I've tried other recommendations of changing Mode 23 from 16 to 50 and 15 and neither work. I've called V&H. They took down my informatiion last Tuesday and said they'd call back. I guess I'm the jacka$$ for actually thinking they'd call back with help. The guys at V&H helpdesk are less than worthless.
I've talked with 3 other people that had the same problem. Once they installed Quiet Baffles and used those settings in the Fuelpak their bikes run/sound great w/no popping/gurgling on decel.
The Fuel Pak is not the greatest but it will get you by. Your bike will run better without the Fuel Pak. I am running it for now. Change mode 23 from 16 to 50. That will help. You will get hesitation sometimes too. That's when Adam told me to switch mode 1 & 2 from 0 to 3. Now the hesitation is gone but I get more popping. No big deal though. It will get you by for $200. I will get the Race Tuner probably soon though.
Navy, do you know if you have version 12 ? I heard that was lot of the problems of popping etc....by not having the new verison...let me know if the quiet baffles work for you....
Yes, I have version 12. Wouldn't listen to above post about changing any other Mode than 23. You can changeMode 23"from" 16 "to" either 50 or 15, but neither work for True Duals. The post above does not have Duals.
I haven't received my Quiet Baffles yet. Will update post when I do. My guess is at least another week...or more.
Recommend you both contact the V&H help desk. Maybe one of those a$$clowns will get the hint that the Fuelpak sux for those that aren't using Quiet Baffles.
Couldn't hurt I guess. They'll most likely blow smoke up your...but who knows.
I doubt it's the True Duals. It's most likely V&H not doing their homework before releasing the latest version. I'm sure they'll eventually figure it out...after enough people bitch about the Fuelpak w/duals and threaten to warn others away from them.
