Default Extra cable under seat connected to battery

It's connected to the battery and has a rubber cover over it - but doesn'tconnect to anything else. Noticed it when I was changing seats. The connector was sticking out from underneath the seat so that it isaccessible...but for what?Heated clothing?

Appreciate any insight.

Here's a pic of the type of connector (SAE Plug not COAX):

It is likely for a battery tender, although it can be used for heated gear. Now, HD and Gerbings use coaxil plugs. However, a few years ago, they used the SAE style.

Yeah, that's for plugging in your battery tender during the winter, so you don't have to remove the seat like in the old days.

One of the greatest things ever invented, and I have them on all my bikes. LoL...

Thanks. Will definitely help w/the Mustang seats now. The stock seats only took about 15 seconds to take off which was nice.
