Default Battery storage during winter

I wont be riding to much in the next few months and have decided to put a trickle charger on the bike that has a short lead that sticks out under the seat and and the charger connects to it. The question i ask is do i leave the seat off or can i put the seat on. As my concern is that the battery gases might affect something or am i being paranoid ? Cheers Dazza

Do you mean the Battery Tender lead? If so I never take my seat off. I think that is why it is like that so you can just plug it it in and let it go

Don't worry about taking the seat off, just hook up the tender and you're good to go.
