Default Quick Battery Tender Question

Just installed a SuperSmart Battery Tender and battery harness. Everything looks and works great. Just wondering if I can safely reinstall the seat and put the bike cover back on while the tender is plugged in. The instructions don't say anything about it, so figured I'd better check before I incinerate something.

Default I should be okay

If there is any problem doing that I haven't encountered it yet and I have mine plugged in always when its parked in the garage. Also the whole purpose of the harness it to make it convenient to plug it in without removing the battery or seat or anything else. It can't possibly get as hot under the seat with the tiny charger going as it does when the engine is pouring out heat. So relax and charge away.

You certainly can put the battery cover back on. Even when charging, the current a tender puts out is relatively low. Once the battery is charged it shuts off. If the battery loses a little charge, the tender turns on again to top off the charge.

I am away from home for month's at a time and have never had any problem. I think it puts such a small amount of current in there and only when it needs it that it shouldn't hurt anything. I don't cover mine but the seat stays on it.

I have a Super Smart battery tender and have my bike covered with a couple of bed sheets out in the garage. It has been plugged in all winter and I have not had a problem with it so far. I don't use the regular fitted cover that I use outdoor in the summer time because it was not recommended to use this particular cover for long term storage. Good luck.

Haven't had a problem here either. I have had my scoot covered with the tender and a golden rod heater with absolutely no problems.

Same here, but I have also wondered about the battery vapors being trapped under the seat or cover.
No problems so far, so I will continue on.
