I have a 16 Deluxe, I went with the Progressive monoshock's and 422's with RAP in the rear, both lowered 1 inch, much better ride and handling.(even better after 20k) But to actually answer the question, I used their springs on a 09 sportster low, and it made it much better, just make sure you use the right amount of fork oil. I too just installed Progressive fork springs with the Ricor valves and Progressive 422 rears with the RAP.
Was around $1000 to do all this and I honestly don't see a big difference from stock. I aimed for every manhole cover and railroad track or bump I could find. If there is a difference I never really noticed. I have around 400 miles since the change and have adjusted the RAP every which way. Like I say, there is a difference when preloaded heavy from soft and vise versa, but nothing to put a smile on my face.
I had fresh oil in the forks with the stock springs and was just looking for something better. This is NOT it. I'll continue playing with this setup and hopefully get it better. If I knew then what I know now I would have NEVER spent the money on this suspension. I read other reviews that said it was night and day difference. If thats the case, they must have had some really bad suspension to begin with.
My suggestion to anyone is to put in fresh fork oil and play with the different weight oils. Then learn how to adjust the stock rears and see what you like. I believe the rears come from the factory with a setting for a 175 pound rider. Spend your money else where. Just my opinion.

Thanks Stinger1 for your honest info. I spent the dough on Ohlins shocks on an '06 Dyna I had, and it was a waste of money. I figured it'd be the same on my Deluxe. I put 15w fork oil in it, and it's a little better but nothing to do backflips over. Cranked up the preload on the rears to almost max, and it made a huge difference on the rears not bottoming anymore. Harley suspension is what it is, and when you only have a couple of inches of suspension to work with, there isn't much you can do.
