Hi all. Heritage softail 2003 realigned front forks when changing to beach bars hadn’t noticed before with the screen and original bars fitted.since then front end knocks on uneven surface tried heavier oil,no difference changed to progressive heavy duty springs with standard oil just the same, doesn’t seem to be any play in the headstock bearings and everything tight any help would be appreciated some say (they all do that) well it drives me nuts got a thing about knocks sqeaks etc. Many thanks for any help. Cheers from the U.K.

Try new neck bearings and proper torque adjustment, if these are not withing tolerances they will knock.

Check the forward tank bolts and make sure they're good and tight.

If not these items, check for a loose wheel bearing or worn fork bushings.
