I guess I’m an idiot. I’m trying to install the smart siren to my 2015 breakout but can’t find the damn screws to remove the splash guards. Can someone take a pic of where they are please?
I'm sorry I can't help you but possibly reading through this thread may help you figure it out . Sounds like the mud guard is located under the rear fender and you may have to remove the rear tire to access it . Have a look under the seat , from the instructions it looks like the 2 screws that need to be removed are under there towards the rear of the bike . Hopefully someone who has done it will chime in and give you further assistance . Good luck !

Typical softail splash guard has a single screw at the bottom of the splashguard. Remove it and the splashguard
can be removed after it is "unsnapped" at the top. It's a press-fit at the top & take a some pressure to disconnect it.

Thanks for this link. It sounds like it's a bigger PITA on the Breakout due to the size of the tire. I wish H-D instructions were a little more specific depending on the model of the bike and not just the category.

The image I posted above is from the HD microfiche for a 2015 Breakout.
