Default Baffles...help

Of all the stupid things, I cut the cloth around the baffles off....I just never thought that would go in the exhaust. Anyways, no I am putting it back on....do I have to use special tape, something that doesn't melt? Won't that fabric get very hot? Can I still put them up after they were cut with a scissors??

A little more reading and it looks like the tape will burn off. Can I therefore use any tape to refasten them together?

I just taped them and stuck them in there. They seem to work.

I did the same thing... don't feel bad. However, I decided to try them without, and they work just fine. It quieted the pipes down just a little, but enough for me. Also gave that good pitch, so I decided to leave them alone.

Thanks Roger. I've got the same bike as you with the same setup. How do you like the C&C seat? That's what I'm considering ordering next.

Cam,

I really love them... I've been riding with the Sport Tour lately, trying to get it broken in before the wife joins me for a long ride, and I've logged a 200 mile and 150 mile ride on it so far and it is extremely comfortable and well-made. I've got some back issues that have been giving me a lot of problems lately, but haven't had any issues while riding the longer distances.

Now I've gotta put the Solo on and get some more miles on it...

Have fun!
Roger

So you've got 2 of their seats. Thats great. I'm considering the Sport Tour. My wife doesn't mind the stock seat, but I don't like it much at all. Has your wife ridden on the new seat yet? What does she think?

Hey, if anyone has leftover V&H Big Shot Staggard normal baffles they want to part with, please PM me.

She's only gone for a quick ride on it so far, so I can't give her impression yet... sorry. I didn't mind the stock seat, until I went for a longer ride and my butt started to feel it. I also saw posts indicating that the stock seats tended to rub the fender, and I certainly didn't want that.
