Default Chirp Chirp Chirp

After 6 months of silence and just the usual 2 flashes from the turn signals, the bike (07 flstc)starts giving off the chirp signal when I switch off the ignition. Yes I'm aware of this being standard but this occurred out of the blue. The manual states it is 2 chirps not 3 and instructs how to disengage it by oning and offing the ignition. However this does not rectiy the problem. Had two other Harley heads attempt it but no luck. Best response I got was "could be a fault somewhere" anyone got a genuine answer or is a good guesser. It seems to be the imobilizer but following the manual to disengage doesn't help silence the chirping.

This is a total guess... but whats your battery charge like? You've mentioned six month of silence were you riding regularly during that time? The chirps might be indicating a low charge?

Good guess about the flat battery but its an 07 and has been ridden regulary, starts fine and no warning lights have ever came on. I did have a PCIII fitted but it went together ok and the problem didn't start after that time.
I appreciate your reply I was a little drunk when I wrote it, so thanks and if you come up with any ideas let me know, cheers Boot.
