Barn Find?
I have a 96 Springer I found in my cousins barn some years ago. They are a good ride and run well. I gave $3500 for it with 32,000 miles. It needed neck bearings and all the wiring put back together that he cut to pull the front end! DUH! The neck and wiring came first. I now own stock in solder and shrink tube.
I never even attempted to start it until the Marvel Mystery Oil sat in the cylinders for a week and I cleaned the gas tank out to include the petcock. Battery, carb rebuild, gas line, plugs, oil change and the rest of the fluids. New tires and brake pads. Then the cleanup. 3 cans of Neverdull after a good washing. Took me a winter to get it right. Good find, good luck. Price is what he will take. Ask what he is thing and go from there.

$1800-2500 for a COMPLETE FX springer is about normal now...when I say complete...wheel brake shock risers...bolt it on and ride...
That is a early "dirt bike" springer which go for less...but it does have the fender lowering kit...which is very desirable...I would top out at 3K on what i see in the pic...if it runs
I actually like the red. Makes it different.
$3k sounds about right.
I expect it will be worth more than in the next biker "fad" period.
It also would part out for more.
