I posted regarding a severe metal clunk sound when starting my 00FLSTC 88/95 motor when it was hot, no problem cold. Some posters thought starter clutch, others starter solenoid and starter. Many posters thought battery age/condition. I went with the easiest possible fix, ordered a Drag Specialties battery with 330 CCA installed today. Bike ran really sweet tonight. I stopped and shutdown and immediately restarted......she started perfectly with no strange noises, several subsequent hot motor starts were good.
