Pirelli Night Dragons, the best tires I have ever used. Sticky in corners and don't follow cracks like Dunrocks.

Ran Metzlers and E-3’s for ever. Look at some of my posts on what the E-3’s started doing with carcass cracking across tire. Dunlop never returned emails I sent multiple times. Bought Shinko’s 777 tires and by far better than previous Metz and Lops. Better rain tire also on our softails. I’ll get 10/12 out of the rear on my Train which also better mileage than the other 2 brands. Excellent grip on the launch.

I’ve got dragons on my bike as well. Been very happy with them.

Out of the 3 different brands that I have tried on my Springer, I've gotten the most bang for my buck with Michelin Commander 2's

My experience with the Metzeler ME888 is the exact opposite of yours. They perform as well, or better than, the good old ME880s, but I get more miles out of the 888s. And they're not made in china. I've gone through several sets over the years, and the only reason I've needed to replace them was because I rode enough to wear them out (between 15K - 20+K miles, higher miles on the front tire every time. Currently have over 23K miles on her front tire, and there's still good tread left!). I would say you got an odd bad one (or two). Happens with all things manufactured.

Cheers!

I’m running a set of American Elites. Very happy with them. Just replaced the front tire this summer and swapped the rear just at 8k the bike now has 16k and probably have about 3-4K before I’ll have to swap the rear. Very happy with them. Could feel an immediate difference when I swapped the front tire out. For the better.

the metz 888s are made in multiple locations. The ones i had were absolutely china. When u order them no one will give you the mfg location. My i ndy stopped i nstalling them. Glad u had better lu ck then me. Mine shed tread... ride safe.

My suggestion would be if you can wait the season out ,do so and then start looking for manufacture tire rebates . Winter is usually the time the manufactures give you 40 to 60 bucks off a tire if you buy a set . And I’m liking the American Elite tires .
