problem mounting trim ring
I have a 09 Heritage...
Just bought the Truck Lite phase 7 headlight and the visor style wide Harley trim ring.
I have read from a search that others like myself are having trouble mounting the trim ring as it doesn't have slots for the tabs at the top of the trim ring like the factory trim ring does.
I saw that one guy trimmed off one of his tabs to get it to work but I would rather not do that if I can get away with another option.
I was thinking of trying to dremel some slots in the new trim ring but that would be a last resort.
I also saw that some others were able to get it on by pounding on the trim ring with the heel of the palm but since I already broke the filiment in one of my passing lights trying that I don't want to go that route either.
So, is there anyone out there that has ran into this issue come up with another solution to mounting the new trim ring?

I had the Trucklite and trim rings on my 2005 Deluxe and removed them to swap from my 2014 Deluxe. I did have to bang with the heel of my hand the trim ring. So it will or at least it did for me.
