at least 9 inches wide, but you could purchase a pre-fabricated aftermarket or if there is an OEM look your trying to achieve you can get second hand ones for a good price. additionally 2007 and up fatboys use the same wheel and tire spec your trying to find so look for a used setup if you want it to look factory.
Tanks for the reply stal94gt i did buy rims and tires off a later fat boy the rims have the holes all the way around the rims. So i would need left and right supports for the fender off the later year?
The 200 wide tyre started in 2007. The wheels in 2007&8 were moved over to the left in the frame, to match the new 96" engine. I know, cos I had one. (The front wheel looked strange cos it was not centralised between the fork legs...)
thanks everyone for the help so would i need to change out my swingarm and what other parts and yrs? I tried to get in touch with Bryce05 but nothing yet.

I apologise that this was not entirely accurate, so I should correct and explain:
* In 2007 they kept the same rear swingarm as in 2000 (48746-07), so in 2007 they had to move both the wider rear wheel and the front wheel over to the RIGHT in the frame (there are photos of this on the internet).
* From 2008 to 2017 they corrected this with a new rear swingarm (47573-11).
* Therefore in my opinion if you put the wider rear wheel into your 2000 swingarm, it probably won't line up with the front wheel.
