Default 2006 fxstbag install

Now that I am in the correct forum (I think), let me try this again. Hey all. I have an 2006 FXSTC (Softtail Custom). I want to add Harley hard bags to it but can't find any mounts. Don't want to mock them up. Any ideas?

https://www.cyclevisions.com/collect...l-for-softails

These are made for a 2006 FLSTC... the main difference between an FXSTC and the FLHTC is the front end, footboards, and the rear fender & fender supports. ... looking at the parts break down for both models, it looks like the mounting points, where these bolt to the frame and the fender supports, are the same for both models...

You could call Cycle Visions and see if they know if these might fit.... also, look at the online parts fiche for both the 2006 FLSTC and FXSTC and see if you too think the mounting points are shared between the models... looks that way to me..

If the mounting points are the same, then you need to decide if you want to run the brace between the two sides as designed, no brace between the sides, or modify the brace location and mounting.. hey, modifying the brace would be easier than making your own brackets....

Good luck with your search...

You looking for permanently attached, or quick release?

I have a set of touring hard bags mounted on Ghost Brackets (no longer made, but EZ Brackets are pretty much the same), that go on and off Reaper in seconds. I also have a King Tour Pak on a quick release bracket that goes on and off in a few more seconds. i can transform Reaper into a "Baggetail" in less than 5 minutes.

If your looking for a permanent solution, there are a lot of options out there.

Reaper as she is daily:

Cheers!
