I'm new here and new to softails. I have an 03 softail standard and was hit a few weeks ago so I am now needing to start putting her back together. My question is what exhaust enter change with my 03 softail. I found some off a 03 night train cheap will those fit my softail standard?

 

They will both being 03’s

 

Most everything from 2000-2005 Standards will fit. Some things from Heritages will as well.

Get some new exhaust gaskets while you're at it. Cheap and might as well do it now to prevent leaks.

 

I have a 06Softail Standard and I am looking for exhaust that makes power and is below the axle. I have decided on Bassani but I just don't love their look. I saw a pair of Two Brothers - two into one this weekend and I love them. I don't know if they just make noise or if they make power. I was hoping that someone here may know about the two brothers set up. Also the Two Brothers for baggers turn out at the end but the ones for the Softail doesn't. I would want the bagger set up; but don't know if the brackets will work, I like the turned out look.

Normally, Exhaust won't interchange between Softail and Touring. Sometimes it is just a bracket, most times it is routing.
Maybe contact T-B and see if they have a way of making them fit.

 

I got an email back from them this morning. They use the turned out pipes on baggers so they don't burn bags. I told them I am putting hard bags on my Softail, and that's one of the reasons I want the turned out ones. I'm still waiting for a response. More importantly I'd like to know if they make power or if they just make noise.
