Default Headlight question

Hey, so I have a 2004 heritage softail, the stock headlight is the sealed H6024, I bought a new lens that came with an h4 bulb rated at 55/60 watts. Now the stock bulb does not have the wattage on it, and from searching they seem to be on the 35/50 watt side. So my question is, is the 55/60 watt h4 too much for my stock system and wires/connector. I really have searched high and low for a definitive answer and came up with nothing. Thank you!

Another option is to switch to an LED bulb instead of theH4. Paradise Lights

You should be fine as long you didnt add anything to that circuit. . 50 watts = 4 amps, 60 watts = 5 amps
I'm guessin you want the old school look instead of LED?

The "old school look" is exactly why I went with LED bulb for my FLSTC!
The bulb above keeps the lens look but adds more light with less power drain.

I am not against getting an LED, it's just it would look kinda odd with the stock sealed auxillary lights, in my opinion. I'm starting to think I will just put the stock sealed one back in, not worth melting anything. Thank you all for the replies. I wish I could find the actual wattage of the stock sealed headlight, to atleast put my mind at ease about it.

I've went LED on all my scoots too. Some folks like to keep the older models stock headlight.

Call parts, see if they have an answer. 35/50 stock sealed beam is what I pulled up too. I cannot confirm that tho.

Yeah that seems to be the number I'm getting also, 35/50, again thank you very much for your help. The difference between my stock, and the lens and h4 I got isn't very much, I just liked the idea of the ease to get replacement h4's, so why risk melting my wires or the connector.

It’ll be fine even if you want to go 60/90
but the LED H4 isn’t designed for the stock fluted lens, it’s not going to defuse properly.
