So its been forever since I posted here but Im looking for 18" white walls for my 06 Deluxe. I know the 18" selection is limited but I also see a company use to make custom white walls was around but it looks like Diamondback of SC closed a few years back.
Does anyone know if there are any other options out there as far as anyone who can take a tire and make a white wall out of it? I'd rather stay away from Vee if possible, only because of some of the reviews.
I dont want to make this into a Vee Tire debate....
I don't blame you, I steered away from Vee and Shinko, not the best tires out there, not to mention I Tour an awful lot and don't run cheap tires.
I will warn you, Continental makes a Conti-Legend, but you'll have to wait until they go back into production this Fall, I received 2 sets of their tires and the white walls are from white.
They had a manufacturing process go bad on the whites and no matter how much you clean them, they're yellow in less then a weeks time. I'm extremely OCD about my bike and white walls, they're going to make due and send 2 brand new tires off the line this fall drop shipment directly to my Indy shop, they're cost.
This is what the front 18 looked like after I cleaned it a few days later at the shop. A pitiful yellowish brown.
Thanks. I read on here they closed but also found another post saying they didn't do motorcycle tires anymore. I called after seeing your post to make sure and I may be in luck....

Let me know how you make out with the Metz, I have to say I'm impressed with the ride and handling quality of these tires.

I recently bought a set of Avon Cobra Chrome WWW's to replace the Shinkos I was running. I ran Shinkos for 4 years and the only complaint I have is the short life of them. So far I've only changed the front tire over to the Avon. I've put about 400 miles on it and so far I like it. Rides well and it's a good looking tire. I'm pretty sure they make them in 18", you'll just have to shop around around to see who has stock. Avon has a summer promo going on, rebate of $60 for a pair, $20 for one.

Go to autozone or any auto parts store and grab a bottle of whitewall cleaner. Stuff works great. It comes in a spray bottle. Best way to keep them white and looking good.
