According to the online parts finder:

The 2002 uses main wiring harness #70431-01

The 2003 uses main wiring harness #70431-03

When Harley changed the suffix on the older part numbers, it can mean:

Exact same part, just bought from another vendor.

An equivalent part, with a slight upgrade made somewhere, but interchangeable with the older part.

A change/upgrade to the part, that renders it incompatible with the older part, without some modification.

So based on just the part numbers, they could be the same OR just a little bit different...

My opinion on their compatibility, is based totally on comparing the parts finder between a 2002 Night train EFI and 2003 Night Train EFI.. you can go to one of the parts finders online and compare the two years as I did, to check my work...

Based on my comparison, they appear to be the same...

My comparison showed that the diagrams of the main wiring harnesses 1 & 2, are identical between the two..... If the diagrams are accurate, they are the exact same.... Now it's entirely possible that there is a small difference, not showing in the diagram.... For a hypothetical example, the CPS sensor wiring may be longer/shorter between the two years, but they are both branched out the same way, with the same connectors.

My comparison also showed the parts lists are also almost exactly identical between the two .... The differences between them were that one list had a connector kit added to it, some heat shrink added to it, and maybe one or two more items like that.. All the actual connector numbers appeared to be the same....

They also have the same ECM #32534-11 (superseded part number), so the sensors and such should be all the same....

I would remove the old harness, lay it out, and put the new harness next to it to compare them...

I suspect you will find them the same...

Good luck with the repair...

NOTE- I hope you have already found the issue that caused the harness to burn up/melt...???? I would make sure that's fixed first, so you don't ruin the new harness...
