I bought a factory reach seat for my 19 custom. the seat started to crack at the seat mounts after two years. within a few more rides the cracks were getting so large it was unsafe to use the seat.
the seat plate is plastic. don't waste your money on plastic..

Are you looking to keep the solo seat? I will suggest you look into http://www.meancitycycles.com/ By the time you spend money a couple different seats to find out you don't like them, you can send out your factory seat and have the proper modifications to your specifications, exact. This way you're getting the ride you want, not what some manufacturers suggest you're going to get. I have 2 done by them, OEM Harley seats. Love em both. Memory Foam upgrade, over 1200 miles on a road trip in August, not once did I have a sore ***.
