Default Working backwards

Well,
I said i wouldn't, but i did it anyway. i bought another bike. i made the whole loop, and landed back on Softail. my first bike being a roached out '73 Sportster i rode nearly 30 years ago, then a break from bikes to raise a family, until i stepped up to a new 2017 Softail. then i had to have a 2018 Softail, and then i reached all the way up to a 2019 Electra-glide, and then got out. no more Harleys. but i kept hearing that little nagging voice. it was always about the Softails. those are the bike i lusted after for years. the new M8 motor is fantastic, and the Softail frame is amazing, but what was missing for me was the old school rawness of it. i told myself if i ever got another bike it would be another Softail, but an old school one. its a story i'm sure we have a ll lived out. i was at the dealer, i liked the bike, they handed me the keys, and i didn't give them back. I've heard guys say when you find your bike you just know. this was the first time i ever experienced that. and now i'm an owner of a Softail that is older than i wanted, with more miles than i wanted, for more money than i wanted to pay. but i could care less, because its what i wanted and it makes me smile every day

Congratulations! I think the Deluxe is the best looking of all the models. Of course I am biased, have one too....
Even with the new frame and M8 I think the Deluxe is the best looking of the new models. Especially the blue one they had in 2018. And then they decided to stop making it, opting to offer mostly blacked out versions which is the trend these days.

the M8 is a fantastic motor. but its just not the same. the TC is good enough for me, enough torque, a nice simple design.
