Thougth the chain had broken in primary case, because of knocking noise, chain is good, checked oil pump chain it's good, what could it be ???

 

Going to have to be way more specific than that. Like what bike, build, etc. Pertinent history and where the noise is coming from especially.

 

OK 60gunner, 03 fxstbi night rain, 50k miles, knocking on primary side, went into primary case, checked chain 4 a break none, checked inside casting 4 any groves none, rode home in first gear about 5, 10 miles hr., tried second gear engine gave power seems as tho something was holding it back, getting stuck, it just wasn't free to move correctly, hope this helps

 

Checked oil pump chain?

 

It could be any number of things.

I had a 05 Road King that was exhibited the same signs as yours and it was the crank. It had gotten too hot and the entire engine was replaced (reman) under warranty.

Start the engine, pull in the clutch lever, put it in 1st gear, does it still make the noise?

 

What two chains on Oil Pump? Are you talking about the CamShafts Chains? The Oil Pump runs off the Crankshaft Pinion.

 

yes, put in second gear hit throttle engine speeds up, it's like a ball that's spinning fast & u grab it then let it go, first gear will let me move fast enough not to stop on me with the knocking going on
