Hey riders, just swapped all my turn signals to LED and got the Custom Dynamics Triple Play so my red rear turn signals work as DRL and Brake lights. But wondering 2 things. After getting the box wired in-line I have these two wires left over, what are they for?
2nd question, I do have the rapid flashing on turn signals prior to installing this box, will it work as a load equalizer or do I need one of those too?

thanks!
those extra wires are for baggers with lights and yes I do need a load stabilizer still to nix the rapid flash, which I kinda like so might just leave it 🤔
When I installed the run/turn/brake kit on my 2014 Heritage, CD told me I wouldn't need the load equalizer; after installation, my turn signals worked normally, but the turn signal indicators exhibited the rapid flash. I called CD, and they said maybe I did need a load equalizer. I didn't have to have it, but I got one anyway.
The Custom Dynamics Standard Triple play unit #GEN-SMART-TPU-HD ($89.95) when used on the pre-canbus bikes, needs a load equalizer too, per their web site:
Note: The use of this product requires a Signal Stabilizer™ or load equalizer when used with factory incandescent or LED turn signals. (2011-2018 SoftailŽ, 2012-2017 DynaŽ, 2014-2018 Touring, 2014-2018 SportsterŽ models do NOT require a Signal Stabilizer).
The Custom Dynamics Load Balancing Smart Triple Play Unit #CD-TPU-SS-HD ($149.95) is a run/turn/brake and brake flasher with a built-in load equalizer.. per their web site:
This module has it all! Our new plug and play Load Balancing SMART Triple PlayŽ module acts as a no-load, no-heat load equalizer and converts rear 1156 turn signals (models with a center taillight) to function as run, brake, and turn with choice of 10 user selectable built in brake light strobe/flash patterns!
I had one of the original Triple Play units on my 2002 Fat Boy. It did require another unit as a "load balancer" for my non stock/self installed LED turn signals. I moved it over to my wife's 2005 Deluxe when I no longer needed it.
However, after many years of service the 2 Custom Dynamics units finally gave up this week. I ordered a replacement Triple Play that has the load balancer integrated. $149 everywhere I looked. I'm expecting delivery tomorrow.
Was wondering if anybody has experienced the hyper flash on the dash Indicators and what did they do to resolve, CD was not resourceful with solving the problem. my 16 FLSTC and developed a hyper flash on the dash t/s indicators. Tried refreshing and clearing codes with no resolve. Have the HD LED Head Light, and Tail Light with OEM bulbs in the T/S. Contacted Custom Dynamics and worked with them for 2 days trying to clear the hyper flash. Sent the unit to them and they indicated they checked it out and nothing was wrong with it. Sent it back and told me to try putting LED in he T/S. I called and said their product is supposed to work with the OEM bulbs and it not, now more $ to get bulbs and try. I did purchase the one for CanBUS application.

I recently installed CD halo blinkers in the front of my '16 Ultra Classic. I get the hyper flash on the dash but the blinkers themselves are fine. I am over it...
After doing a search and reading up on what others have tried, the solutions offered are questionable, at best. Some people have never found a solution to the hyperflash. There was a thread from a couple of years ago where a member had a CanBus bike with Custom Dynamics LED turn signals all around and had the hyperflash that he and Custom Dynamics could not solve.
In the end, some people have just had to live with it. Some believe it is a BCM issue that requires a firmware/software fix from HD.
The old school remedy was to turn on your hazard lights and leave them on for 30-60 seconds. In some cases, this fixed the hyperflash. Good luck.
I've had the CD Triple Play with Load Equalizer on my 07 Softail for about a year. Turn/Brake lights are all EagleLights LED.
Everything works as it should 95% of the time. Every once in a while I'll get rapid flashing of the turn signal and usually just cancelling the turn signal and pressing it again will go back to standard flash.
There is a switch setting on the Triple Play unit to adjust the load amount to resolve rapid flash issues but it hasn't bothered me enough to mess with it.
